Two copies of House Details 5 Collector's Edition auctioned

This Collector's edition cannot be purchased normally or directly, it can only be bought at a charity auction.   

In this first online charity auction, which took place on March 11th, live, on the House Details instagram account, 191€ have been donated due to the sale of 2 copies of the House Details 5 Collector's Edition, limited to 10 copies and with several extras, created exclusively for these auctions.

We are very grateful for the generosity of the architect Eduardo Souto de Moura who signed the magazines and allowed the publication of his work. We extend our special thanks to the owner of the house, Dr. Pedro Mendonça , to Souto de Mouras´s team, engineers Manuel Pedro Melo, Adriano Cardoso and Marta Cardoso. Without the publication of their work, these auctions would never have taken place.

On March 16th, the money was delivered to Mrs. Maria dos Prazeres, that works at the Pontes de Caridade Association, which belongs to the Parish Church of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, in Lisbon, as they were the ones we asked for information about the most needy people. Please check the photo of the receipt above.

The money will be used to pay the pharmacy bills of Mrs. Dona Maria de Fátima Conceição Dias, at the age of 73, who receives a pension of 274 € (never had an "official" job, she was a housewife), lives alone and has several health problems.

We are perfectly aware that nothing significant will be able to change in her life, that this is a very small help.

5 more auctions will be held this year.

We think you may be interested to know for auction purposes, that with this version of House Details 5, it is the first time that an architecture magazine has launched a collector's version with several "extras" (originally published product, but now including other products).
